New Academic Program

To respond to the needs of Hispanic students to receive appropriate preparation to compete in these expanding career areas, Dewey University proposes to develop a new Bachelor's Degree program in Information Technology with concentrations in Computer Graphics and Digital Media. Among the professions for which our students will qualify upon completion of this program are: graphic designer, web designer/developer, multimedia developer, media applications developer-as well as emerging computer/IT areas dealing with Internet communications and media tools/mobile applications development. For the proposed IT program, 12 new courses will be developed (36 credit hours), which, when combined with existing curricula (general education courses, math courses, computer courses), will result in the needed curricular.

Information Technology with concentration in Computer Graphics and Digital Media

The Information Technology academic program is a specialization in Computer Graphics and Digital Media that develops professionals that dominates the information technology, known emerging technologies, trends, content needs and message transmission. The professional will learn, dominate and produce structured ideas, concepts and relevant audiovisual solutions. Recognize user behaviors and industry trends, adjusting it in communication and technology integration within their scientific, technological and artistic capacities. The student will learn the details of search for information, data conversion and content creation based on effective information for businesses and individuals. Digital identity and brand positioning alongside the development of the skills and abilities to work creatively in projects related to new technologies and digital media.

General Information:

The Bachelor of Information Technology with Concentration in Computer Graphic and Digital Media promotes the study and development of professionals able to face the challenges and trends in technology and emerging media, both phases of design, concept, development, production and dissemination. Graduates of this degree program will be prepared to:
